One more vintage swap
Penny created this little jewel. She said this was her very first attempt at creating anything vintage...I don't know for a first effort, it sure is on the mark! She left the center panel blank so we could fill in the language ourselves. I have several birthdays this month so I'll simply stamp a Happy Birthday on it and viola' I am good to go. Great job Penny!

Vintage Continued
Mary Grace prepared this lovely swap. It's purple so I knew it had to be hers. She used the new DSP in Regals family. Striking, just striking!

August Stamp Club Swaps
Here's is Jackie's Swap (left) Isn't it beautiful? I love how the stamped image flows from the Whisper White to the Night of Navy. The flower on the lower right is difficult to see from the scan, but it is the perfect accent to this card.
The card on the right is Mary Ann's interpertation of Shabby Chic...I'm a vintage kind of girl but am very intemidated by this style. Love it! Guess, I have to just try it. Again, scanning doesn't do it justice. Everytime you look at it, you see something new. Great job!

August Stamp Club Swaps
The next few days, I'll be posting the cards from our August Stamp Club. They are just awesome. Theme in August was Vintage. Here are a couple.
The card on the left was prepared by Anita. Don't you just love the use of coordinating papers? I have to say, it would not have occured to me but I think it's so striking.
Barbara prepard the card on the right and trust me, scanning and posting does not do this card justice. She painstakenly cut out those lamps shades to give depth...those little dangles hanging from the center lamp, lovely.

Shoebox Swap
Here's a swap I'm preparing for a shoebox swap. I've used my favorite stamp set (for now anyway) Artistic Etchings, DSP Newprint, Cherry Cobbler cardstock and ink, binding tape (which looks and feels like cool ribbon to me) and a peral in the Amour. I was challenged to use something current, not anything Halloween or Big Shot (really tough for me.) So what do you think?

New Fabric for Crafting!
Here are Shelli and her daughter Sara sharing the new fabric from SU. Only two weeks until YOU can order. Can't wait to see all the Big Shot projects.
Here's how the fabric will come. They are "fat" quarters. No, I don't sew so that is not a term I am familiar...heard it at Convention and everyone who sews seems to understand. It's not numbers so I'm NOT familiar . It is lovely, I won an apron made with some of the fabric. You'll have to come see it! I'll post it tomorrow.

Here is the third sample card Susan prepared for our swap. It's a little difficult to see. She used Pretty in Pink card stock as the background and Whisper White. Pretty in Pink was used to water color the flowers. The words are from two very versatile sets, Defining Alphabet and Define Your Life. See how she stamped the "Oo", then went back and stamped the words on top. Very quick, easy card when you need one "NOW".

Each mini and new catalog, my side-line, up-line prepare three swaps and share with each other. Susan S. prepared these. I'll post her third one tomorrow and the others as I receive them. Hope you enjoy!

Great minds....
Here is Ronda's swap for our Summertime theme. Interestingly enough, Ronda came over and we were working on our swaps together. Rather Ronda was working on her swaps and I was playing with some new toy aka Bigz Punch and I wasn't really paying attention to what she was working on. As it turns out, we were going to prepare the same card! My thoughts were to change it out a little but basically the same card...so yes, I switched my idea and used the Bigz Punch. (I already posted my card...see earlier posts.) How fun is that?
