Ornate Garden Two Ways

Here are my first two cards using the Ornate Garden Suite.  This is a sneak peak of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog that is available for purchase now.

I used DSP on Whisper White cardstock on the first card... notice the gold foil in the DSP?  This picture does not do it justice.  So Beautiful.   I also used the 3-leaf punch to punch Soft Seafoam, and vellum to punch leaves.  I use this punch quite often, so  I'm going to really miss it.  (It is not carrying forward to the new annual catalog.)  The die I used is from the So Sweetly Dies...a must have if you don't already own it.

The Thank You card is stamped in White Craft Pigment Ink on black cardstock with more of that gorgeous designer paper, I used Poppy Parade Blends (dark) to enhance the center of the flowers.

Two Classes Sold Out -

Fall Printer's Tray
Halloween Printer's Tray

Wow, did I ever underestimate the popularity of the Halloween Printer's Tray and Fall Printer's Tray classes!  (That's why it has been a while since I posted.)  I've been planning, creating and just plain playing with my new toys.

Both of these classes are completely full.  I do have a wait list if you are interested.

The good news?  I have added a Christmas Printer's Tray Class on 12/8/2012.  It will be similar to the Halloween Tray above.  Cost is $30 and includes all the supplies, embellishments, paper and even the Printer's Tray you will need to complete this project.  As with the Halloween and Fall classes, seating is very limited.  Go to our website:  www.stampinduo.stampinup.net and register as soon as possible.

Stampin' Up Convention Video!

Displays and Cute Momental Hall Shopping

Top picture is a display in the Gathering Place.  SU home office sets up displays both with craft items and samples of card submitted primarily by demonstrators.  Way fun.  I'll start posting some of the swaps I received at convention soon.

I participated in two organized swaps and of course, the general swaps.  More to follow...

Stampin' Up 2012 Convention

Shelli Gardner

Shelli Gardner - 2012 Stampin' Up Convention
The convention theme this year was "I am"...Shelli always does a nice job on stage.

As I mentioned yesterday, the weather was quite pleasant, at least I thought so.  Pretty sad when it's hotter in Indianapolis than in Salt Lake City.  It's a 'dry heat' in SLC.

Next year will be the 25th Year celebration for Stampin' Up...plan to join us next year!

Convention Shopping

Across the street from the Salt Palace, the new mall was ready for our arrival.  Here are a couple pictures.  I could see these stores from my hotel room at the Marriott...stamping and shopping?  Oh yes...it was a very good time indeed!

FREE Stamps...

Bundle 1
I just returned from Convention in Salt Lake City. Just me and 3500 of my closest stampin' friends.   Oh my...what a great time.  Weather was picture perfect,  Presentations were exceptional, classes enlightening and just a plain a good time was had by all.

I came home with a special project I can't wait to show everyone, and 8 (EIGHT,,,count them 8, FREE stamp sets and a handy new Convention Bag.  I'll post pics as soon as I get them from camera to hard drive.  Flights from/to Indy and Salt Lake were uneventful unless you can count the praying my luggage would actually CLOSE on the way home.  One more item and I would have been either purchasing another piece of luggage or paying UPS a FORTUNE to ship the loot home.

Oh, I nearly forgot, the picture above is the Bundle of goodies I got from the Holiday Catalog (can't really call it a "mini catalog" any more...at least not in my opinion.  Oh, don't worry, the bundle is not the ONLY items I have from the Holiday Catalog.  My big order should arrive shortly.  Open the catalog at your own risk.  It really would have been easier to make a list of those 'few' items I didn't think I wanted/needed.  Now, after attending Convention, I want it all, lol!  We always get great ideas showcasing everything that makes me know I have to have it all.

Until next time...

Happy Stampin'

Birthday Packed

Here's my swap for the stamp club this month...  Packed for birthday!

Look familiar?  I used this same idea with Packed for Baby at the SAS last month.

I used Certainly celery and Old Olive...no surprise here, this is one of  my favorite techniques...well this and watercolor, and DSP, and on and on.  Okay, let's face it, I love it all!

Tea Light DSP

Look at this tea light.  In case you cannot recogize it, this is a tea light.  The swich is accessible.  I'd like to tell you this was an original idea but not the case.  I did make it but at my upline's meeting.  Way cute don't you think?
